International Women’s Day,  March 8th, 2019



A service to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019 organised by Multitude of Voyces in partnership with

St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury.

As usual the service will be entirely led by, composed by, and written by

women and includes music and texts from the 17th Century to the present day.


We welcome everyone to this service!


We are honoured that The Right Revd Karen Gorham, the Bishop of Sherborne, will preach at this service. Revd Wendy Cooper will officiate, and there will be additional contributions from Ordinands-in-training from Sarum College, led by Jenny Nelson.

Godolphin Vocal Ensemble, led by their Director Olivia Sparkhall, harpist Katie Salomon, organist Ute Schwarting, and pianist Jemima Palfreyman, will lead the music which will include Multitude of Voyces’ 2019 commission ‘Love was his meaning’ by Gemma McGregor.
